David Esterza Amarone

The History

David Sterza winery is located in the tiny Valpolicella village of Cast-
erna, in the foothills of the Lessini mountain range, the David Sterza
wine estate was established in 1998, but the Sterza’s have been pro¬
ducing wine through a long family tradition handed down from father
to son. When the estate was passed into the care of the young Da¬
vid Sterza he sought the professional guidance of his cousin, the re¬
nowned wine expert Paolo Mascanzoni and together they set about
producing some of the finest wines in the Valpolicella. This came
about due to the fact that David and Paolo decided not to sell their
grapes as had happened in the past, but to press, process and bottle
the wine on their own premises. Thus the Sterza wine estate was born.

Tasting Notes

Full bodied, intense and above all elegant, the Amarone was named
in the 18th century and used to identify a wine produced from late
pressed drier, more concentrated grapes. This gives a much more pow¬
erful and intense taste experience.
