The History

The Château Ferreyres vineyard is situated on a unique terroir on
splendid sunny hillsides. The proliferation of Silex in the sandy-clay soils bestows powerful red berry notes on the wine, as well as a unique balance, which allows these wines to be appreciated from their early years onwards, but also to be conserved and savoured at a later date.

The Grape

50% Sauvignon Blanc, 50% Semillon

Tasting Note

The wine offers a very clean and bright expression of Bordeaux Blanc featuring aromas and flavors of white peach, apricot, and fig. No oak is used so only the freshness of the grapes is evident. The acidity would shine with challenging dishes like raw oysters or a spicy seafood pasta. The blend shows off both grapes with Sauvignon, being the more aggressive, shining. Yet, the Semillon brings a so and supple nature as well.
