Madrona Cabernet Sauvignon
The History
The Madrona wine all started by a pioneer who found an
exceptional landscape that is divestible to the hillside vine
yard, which was located in El Dorado, California in 1973. It
was originally founded by the Senior Bush who wanted to
create this unique wine that has great acidity with perfect
balance to create this comfort when drinking the wine. This
authentic wine was discovered from a 350 year old Madrona tree, which represented the location to grow the best terroir of the Madrona vineyards. These Madrona trees are
found in the greatest growing regions through El Dorado,
Sierra Foothills AVAs.
The Grape
90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot
Tasting Note
The aromas are complex and thought-provoking as great
Cabernet should be. The myriad of dark berry fruit characters, sachets of fresh herbs and hints of smokiness meld together while the vanilla tones of new French oak (43%)
bind them all together. The palate is big and bold yet refined and elegant, showcasing the wonderful balance of mountain-grown fruit and the plentiful sunshine we have
in the area. Black currant and dark cherry explode on the entry carrying the fruit long into the mid-palate.
